As a writer, there are times when not everything comes easily to mind. I often find myself in a writer’s block, frustrated about why my thoughts cannot be translated on paper (or my desktop). After reading a ton of articles about how to overcome writer’s block, I have learned that sometimes you just have to write and not care about how it sounds. That’s what editing is for. Frequently, I find myself afraid to write something because I don’t think it will sound good. I have learned to overcome this fear by jotting down all my thoughts, then going back and reviewing them later.
When I am truly stumped on new topic ideas, I refer to resources like HubSpot’s Blog Topic Generator. This free tool generates a week’s worth of custom topics to kickstart the creative process. All you have to do is type in three terms you’d like to blog about and the tool will auto-generate topics for you. Here is an example:
